Last week’s post was on financial adequacy – as it relates to the meaning to progress. I wish to clarify this world view of financial wealth. I support and encourage anyone to maximize their personal wealth, since it gives you the resources and ability to achieve progress in many areas. The greater your financial resources the greater your capability to make a difference. Financial independence give you the ability to travel and enjoy more free time to work on making improvements.

Growing your financial portfolio, is good as long as it is not an end in itself. When you use your assets to promote the common good, you are leveraging your material potential to make things better. Therefore, wealth or money is not an evil, and can be a positive force. It is not what you have that makes a difference, or creates progress, it is what you do with what you have that is the key to experiencing progress – built on a foundation of a healthy and balanced world-view.
