A mysterious phenomenon of progress is the paradox that failures and difficulties come before great advancements. It is a given that labor precedes all new life, whether the birth of a child, or a new venture, or a major change in life. When you understand that this is a normal part of progress you will be able to respond in a healthier and productive manner. The confusion is our being in the middle of the chaos, makes it difficult to see beyond the obstacles in front of us. A dear friend Musa reminds me of the Alexander Graham Bell quote “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that opened for us.” Take heart use the twists and turns of life as a call to change. See these hurdles as the announcement of change and thus progress.
