All socio-economic systems involve politics and thus politicians. When you recognize this fact you have the ability to understand and put things into perspective. This is the most fundamental and critical aspect you must consider when you are being impacted by any one of the socio-economic system results. If you ignore this fact you will suffer the consequences.

Politics are ideas and philosophies, which therefore, are human characteristics. In essence it is about people, about humanity. As a human attribute it is subjective with the potential for being parochial. The community or nations have established a vision, constitution, or articles and laws that define the overall goals and objectives of each enterprise. Since it is impossible to establish a law or rule for every situation, these documents form a principle of understanding that serve as the overall guidelines and governance for subsequent political action. These principles must be stated in a way that minimizes parochialism. However, the principles must be flexible enough to serve as an umbrella that covers the population. These principles must be broad enough to encompass the variability of human ideas, without compromising the essence.

In the United States there are two documents that establish these principles.  The US Constitution which states that “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” The preceding Declaration of Independence states that “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men (people) are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men (people), deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”

Unless the governed remain vigilant and active, these principles are in danger.
